Jeff, how do you like that TPI motor in there? That was my choice if I was going to swap in a 350... but decided to keep the 2f.

I'd love to take it for a spin someday

Drew,
The motor is amazing. When Matt (Hulk) came by to buy the M1200 I fired it up and his reaction was :"Wow, that sounds like a race car;" and it does, but its very driveable. I have had some significant issues with the fuel injection (and an engine fire), but these are now resolved and the engine runs great and is very reliable. I have attached the latest dyno report that shows 310 lbs of torque and 215 hp at the rear wheels!

I'll be happy to let you take it for a spin; I just need some welding help in moving some seats first.

Cheers,
Jeff

Very cool, I had an early 90's corvette TPI all lined up when a few cruiser heads talked me into staying with the 2f, some days I am glad they did, others I am sad they did...

I might have to take you up on your offer! (that I asked for ) What need to happen with your seats?

Drew

I need to switch the seats from my 73 FJ40 with the ones in the 75 FJ40. This will require some minor cutting and welding due to the way the seats were mounted in the 75. Having read your bumper fabrication thread, I'm sure you could do it with no problems.

I won't be ready to do the swap for a couple of weeks. I have ordered new TREs for the thing (I just found out it has FJ60 knuckles), and will have a new tire rod built for it. After that it'll be mobile again and I can work on the seats.
