It's about 650 miles and 10 hours from Denver to Wendover.

If there's any interested, we're wondering about leaving Sunday instead.

On Hulk's route, we'd stay somewhere in Utah, maybe Black Dragon Canyon? But the route Chris linked looks pretty cool, too. That could be fun leaving on Sunday and staying around Dinosaur N.M. or doing Flaming Gorge and head north to I-80 on Monday.

The plan is set in Jell-O right now, we'd rather travel with the group (or at least a group). Just throwing some extra things out as options. I figure why lead foot it if I'm taking Monday off anyway. Could finish packing Saturday and do a very easy pace out.

That route looks awesome! You think we can still make it to Wendover in a day? Google Maps says it's only 10.5 hours.

I've done that route a bunch going to Heber City. It's all rural 2-lane from Rifle through Meeker and Rangely, to Dinosaur. US 40 is kind of nice. Flaming Gorge would be cool, north of Vernal, and you can continue up to I-80 that way.

I've done the run through Green River and up Price Canyon and it's pretty, too. Since we're leaving Monday I'd be up for pushing as hard as we can and going long to Wendover. So the fastest route would be best, IMO. I'd even stay in a motel Monday night.

If you guys go I-70, be sure to stop at Rays Tavern in Green River. Best burger in the state per Paul May. The burgers are so good, we stopped there on our way into the desert, and again before we headed home on a recent trip. Good eating

x2. or 3, or 4.. just got around to looking at this but I agree that's a great Route. So that leaves only about 5 hours to get to Reno the next day, which means a few of us can hang out in Reno & wait for Bruce to fly in, while the others make it down to Robb's Valley, then we all hook up later. I'm also working on a facility tour in Reno for some of us that afternoon, one that will surely impress you particularly if you're an engineer. More details on that to follow..
