I actually read an article about something similar not too long ago. The article said that researchers had determined that salt water can burn. Basically the hit the saltwater with some form of radio wave, and it caused the molucules of the saltwater to loosen their connections enough that a hydrogen molecule could come off & then burn. It was interesting stuff. But that article said that it had to be saltwater for that process to work. Mayube he figured out how to do it with regular bottled water...

I don't know what's cooler, the technology or the fact that he is from my hometown in Clearwater Fl.

Shoot, I'll have to convert to a plastic fuel tank though.
Yet more mods to have to do to the Chili.

Seriously though I did hear a radio program where a guy claimed to be able to run his Corvette on conventional fuel, or hydrogen, by flipping a switch. Kinda like the propane conversions. The hydrogen was generated via the method above, and stored as hydrides for stability. Far more feasible than fuel cells. The energy for the RF was generated by wind power.

Of course our country is pursuing fuel cells. Goes with the methanol strategy I guess.

We live in interesting times (and not necessarily in the Chinese sense ). The times of a new Tesla.
