Default flat towing

I have found a couple references to Flat Towing and Braking systems. According to one it is a federal law that if you flat tow, you need a braking system install on the vechicle towed with a stand alone brake away system(if the truck behind leaves you, it will brake on its own). Something for you guys to look into if you are flat towing. I have not seen the law nor do I have interest in looking this up as I do not flat tow vechciles(just do not believe it is safe). Anyhow Just wanted to help keep you guys up on anything I see to help you. Later Robbie

Thanks Robbie. It's got me thinking about alternatives.

People tow there trucks all the time with out some sort of system. Most will never get caught. Some will and pay the price. Just info to let you be more informed thats all. Wish you the best on your choice.
