I'm at the mercy of my pilot

I planned on being back Monday and getting back to work on Tuesday...Now I am getting worried that the return trip might involve wandering around in the desert for 3 days in a 40

I'm taking both Monday and Tuesday off for the way back, hoping to get home Monday night but ok if it doesn't happen until Tuesday. Martin I'll definitely roll with you, as we'll want to be on the I-70 plan for sure on the way back.

That sounds like a nice detour, may have to work that one in. We have Monday and Tuesday off but would like to be back Monday night so we can relax and unpack Tuesday and back to work on Wednesday.

X2 to what UB said. I will be coming back at a relaxed pace.Planning on camping, site seeing, fishing or what ever, would not mind doing some dirt road traveling on the way back. What is your time frame to be back?

Cool. Good to know that some of you will be around on the return leg. I'm planning on being back to Colorado Tuesday night at the earliest.

Yeah, I saw that. Tempting...

But I'd have to leave a day earlier, on Sunday. And Sunday is Father's Day. I have little kids who have been planning for Father's Day for weeks.

You will need to either pay the nearly $6 a gallon price at Ice House or simply drive down to the Canyon near Placerville and fill up there (+/-$5 a gallon). You will travel at a fast pace following those guys so you won't use nearly as much fuel as you will on Wednesday.
