Nor I. I got the Ham for wheeling and road trips and it's awesome for those activities. Hiking as well.

I'd like to someday, but right now I have no radio. I went the distance last year while I was in study mode to get my general ticket, so I could get started at some point.

I prepared for and picked up my General license at the same time we held the RS class earlier this year. It is in my future plans to get on HF, but the plans are not locked into a timeframe right now.

I do sometimes. I am 98% done with my Mobile HF setup. Just need to route coax and power wires to the antenna motor and I'm up and running. I think it is cool to play with while I drive to and from work, on the trail, on road trips...

Anyone up north (as opposed to Raton, NM) who wants to get on the air one saturday just let me know. I'll let you use my setup. Not as cool as Bruce's, but you'll get out and feel good about using RF to talk with someon so far away instead of using landlines.

I'm on HF. I don't work long hours but like making a contact now n' then. I just use a Yaesu FT-840 and a dipole strung along the backyard fence. I love doing a little CW at night.
