Interesting steering conversion, I haven't seen that configuration before. Did you dream it up, or is it something others are doing now that I just missed?

That steering conversion has been around for a long while

On 40's it was first call the scout conversion when folks used scout boxes with a 3 ear mounting.

Now that 60 series steering boxes are fairly cheap and more readily available that's what most folks use since the scout boxes are friggen huge.

No shackle reversal? If I had you in there doing all that work, I'd be asking for a shackle reversal at minimum.

Although let's be honest -- I'd be asking you for coils.

Coils not withstanding, yeah. Oleg mentioned that the owner is not going hardcore and that sort of implies that it's for tooling around and lots of roads. Seems like a good candidate for shackle reversal. One of the reason I could see sticking with forward shackles is to keep from jamming the front output on the transfer case, but bouncing down the road isn't a major problem there, right?

I build what was ordered and I have plenty of 80 axles with E-Lockers and ready for coil set-up. Just give me a call and give me your vehicle and don't forget the checkbook. For body conversions we still do them, here are some pictures.

Wrong year for me to spend more cash on Cruisers. But maybe 2009? The Hulk on 80 axles with coil springs and e-lockers sounds pretty sweet. Extend the wheel base... hmmm....

The hulk is too clean for that. You should order an aqualu 45 body and drop that on an 80 chassis.

Sorry for the hijack.

Looking great Oleg!
