So yeah...after the fun of totalling our 80, I've been laid off as of last friday.

i had been with them for 7 years and was the lowest in senority, which sucks because I had planned on retiring there.

Does anyone know of any IT positions open around?

I mainly do Windows servers, Microsoft Exchange, networking and computer support, anti-spam measures and web filtering products.

thanks!

There are a few IT jobs posted on rayjobs.com for the Aurora campus. Not in my department.

Wow that blows man, sorry to hear. I'm in the same boat, I totaled my 80 and some drunk in a 91 crx (Scrap metal) on the 21 of feb and then got laid off due to a robbery on the 23rd. Check out a company called Service Magic, they send leads to contractors and labor people. My mom works there and is allways bitching about the computers. If they are not hiring now they will be soon.

Sorry to hear it. This is a tough economy for everyone right now.

Take a look at our career listings here:

Keep your eyes on the state website... For some bizarre reason the IT jobs have pretty much been exempted from the hiring freeze.. It is a friggin process to get hired... but the stability is there
