Default Kingston Peak Work Day - September 16th

Hello all...I just confirmed the date with our Clear Creek District Ranger for our annual work day out on Kingston Peak, Saturday September 16th.

Looks like this year will be primarily carsonite signage, bird houses, trash cleanup and some rock stacking to direct traffic.

I'll be working with the ranger over the next couple weeks to finalize work plans and I will post up additional details as soon as I have them. Just hoping to get it locked in on folks calendars.

Thanks!
Scott

Sounds good. Thanks for putting this together, Scott.
Let me know what you want to do with these bird houses. I don't have posts. I do have Brant's post pounder. We also need some bolts to mount them. I have 5 ready to go.

I have lots of tools and equipment. Post up anything that's needed! Is there a work scope from CCRD yet?

I'm hoping to connect with Brant early next week. Now that my kids are back in school the summer craziness should calm down a bit. Stay tuned for work scope and necessary tools. The bird houses are a definite, carsonite signage is definite, trash pick up is definite. The only other thing I think may be on the list is some rock stacking to help the carsonite signs direct traffic where we want them to go in the high meadow above the glacier.

Travis, how many bird house kits do you have that are not built?

I have 4 bird houses that are ready to go with all required hardware.

I then have 12 more units that are built but need their roofs attached. I have three roof pieces. So we will need 9 more roof pieces. And we will need 24 bolts (3/8x 4" lag bolts) with the nuts and washers to match.

I don't have any posts for the bird houses. Those you will need to get from Brant.
I have the giant post pounder to put them in though.
