Default Jenny Creek September 30th 2017

Meeting Time is 9:00 AM in Rollinsville. Air down, ready to roll by 9:15.

Here's where we'll be meeting:

Also, CB Channel 4 HAM 146.460!

Hi All!

The Boulder Ranger District is hosting a pot luck in order to show their appreciation of our help with the public lands they manage. It will be a Trail Run on Jenny Creek combined with a Potluck that they are inviting the clubs they collaborate with to participate in. This is the event where last year they presented us with our adopt a road signs for Jenny Creek. Last year they ran Kingston Peak.

I would love it if we could have a decent showing out there, it will be a fun day that will involve eating as well as wheeling and who doesn't like that?! Kariann will be heading up early to set up a taco bar at Yankee Doodle lake, so when we pop out of Jenny Creek at the top we'll be greeted with tasty food. I'll double check she doesn't need any extra food as it nears, but she's asking for a headcount by the 20th. The Leaves might be going by then also, so it should be pretty!!

**Please post up if you plan to make it**

I need to ask that somebody commit to be there as my backup. there's a chance I will not be able to be present to help organize our folks and "lead". Can anybody help with that? please let me know. There is likely little work that actually needs to be done, just wrangle some folks and drive toward the good smells.

Here is the note from Kariann:

Hi Marco,

*snip*
The USFS is planning another end of season run for all three of the 4x4 clubs. Last year we held the potluck lunch at the Kingston Peak/Mammoth Gulch area (NORAC's adopted trail) and this year it will be at Jenny Creek/Rollinspass Road (Rising Suns adopted trail).
I believe you did not make it last year, but it was fun and after everyone ate they continued up the trail. I would like for as many Rising Sun members to attend as possible-you all have done so much work over the years. Jared and I discussed that this is a great way for us to show our appreciation for your help and for all the groups to get to see each other's adopted trails.
Please let me know if you will be able to be there along with how many club members will be attending. (It helps me with food prep)
*snip*

See you in month!
Sincerely,
Kariann

This is awesome.

Originally planned to work that Saturday as I plan to pick up the new runner the weekend before. Would love to be there for this. Think the last time I was on Jenny Creek was when Randy let me drive the Gecko..... Will talk with work.

Thanks for all your efforts Marco!!
