Unhappy 1986 Land Cruiser BJ70

The day has finally come where I think it's time to sell my cruiser. I simply don't have time to enjoy it. I imported it ~2004 and it's titled and registered in Colorado.

1986 Canadian BJ70 24 volt
416,178 km
3.4L 3B
5 speed h55f
Garret T3 .42/.48 turbo
Saab inner cooler
Re-geared 4.56
Old Man Emu Suspension
Front and Rear ARB lockers
Front ARB bumper
Warn 8274 24 volt w/ synthetic rope
35x12.50x15 tires
Safari Snorkle (head and body not installed)
4Runner Front brake upgrade
1" Master Cylinder
Boost Gauge
EGT Gauge (not working)
12 volt converter and fuse panel
JDM Surf Tilt, Roll, and Altimeter

The good news is the frame and interior are in pretty good shape for a Canadian cruiser of this vintage.

The bad
The body is rusty. Rockers are shot, rear wheel wells are pretty bad, some spots on around the windshield and roof, front foot wells, and the drivers front fender was incorrectly repaired. The paint on the hood and roof are showing there age too. The windshield has several cracks and it needs new batteries. It also leaks oil.

This truck is a great weekend wheeler or could be a really good project for someone with more time. This is an opportunity to own a rare cruiser only 750 BJ70's were imported to North America.

$8,000 OBO

Sorry all I could find were some poser pics from last winter. I'll try to dig some better ones up.

I'm only seeing 3 in your sig line Jackson, I know the 60 is gone.

Unlike a lot of non-USA cruisers in our club, this one's left hand drive. Certainly typical Canadian/Colorado rust, especially for 400k kms. I do miss my HZJ75...

GLWS. I've had a bunch of cruisers over the years and the bj70 has been my favorite. It's not big for a lot of gear but it gets great mileage and climbs and grunts right up stuff. It's kinda like a 40 with fuel injection and double the mileage. I've gotten 30 just bouncing along in the desert for a week. Ironically the LHD 70 has the most leg room and headroom in stock form out of 40's, 60's 80's and 100 i've had.

If my oldest was even near 16 I'd be all over that one. GLWTS.
