I very much realize that I am not showing the same mentality as most of Rising Sun in this thread, or the forums in general. I have no intention whatsoever of adjusting my mentality to conform to the masses here either, and I won't apologize for that. My passion is mine, it does not belong to any organization. Justin, you can add yourself to the list of members who's feelings I've hurt. I respect you(and all of the old people who were members of Rising Sun before there was a stupid internet, that I don't know who they are, I wouldn't be welcoming to newcomers either if I were you.) I believe you all when you say that you worked real hard on Jenny Creek. Thank you, all I ever did was enjoy Jenny Creek so, again THAN YOU all who put so much into a huge loss. Just because you try your best, doesn't mean a loss is a victory. That is nonsense double-think. If you think that way, you probably still love Elitch Gardens, to me it was closed soon after the Six Flags corporation took over. You can call it Jenny Creek, I'm calling it Jenny Stumps Trail. There is nothing in a name. Would a rose by any other name not smell just as sweet? You can call it a victory if you want . "Yay, we got a new trail, Jenny Stumps Trail, or New Jenny Creek if you like." This one smells like doo-doo though, not roses anymore, call it whatever. Who really cares what it's called?

Maybe we should pretend that 105.9 is still KAZY the most kickass radio station ever and not gey Alice. Maybe we should call Pepsi Center McNichols arena and we should all pretend Invesco saved Milehigh and we should fly out of Stapleton next time we go to the airport. You can take these things away but you can't pretend that they weren't there. Jenni Creek used to be special and now it's not. Does it not seem silly at all to act like Jenny Creek Tail was saved? It's history.

Grace and empathy. Thank you Bill Morgan, Kevin, and Marco. I'm sure there are others too, thank you. I know none of you. Much respect to you all, but after considering it, perhaps I do not empathize, I tried, I can't see how it should hurt you that I see what changed at Jenny Creek as a huge loss. I'll continue to consider ways I might be able to empathize out of respect for Justin. You must already know my intentions aren't to hurt the people who worked to save Jenny Creek. My intentions are to express how it hurts what we lost up there, and that we should never forget what we lost, we should never forget how special Jenny Creek was, and we should remind people that we lost. Jenny Creek is not just "not the same" it's "totally different".

These public lands are supposed to belong to all of us, so when somebody limits our access to them they are the enemy. I don't understand why we are kissing the asses of our enemies. I get it that we need good relationships with them in the hopes that they don't take more from us, so it seems were scared of them. I wish they were scared of us.

Justin, I am going to try to heed your advice about treading lightly in the area of relationships, I see your wisdom. I'll continue to tread lightly off-road. I mean, at least I know that you are right, even if I still don't care.

I will happily drink the water off of my truck after they promise to restore the Jenny Creek Trail after my doing so. Yeah, I get your point, maybe it would make me sick, or worse, maybe not. Either way, it would certainly not be nutritious. I have no idea if it is right or wrong to drive in the creek. My point is that I would sacrifice myself to keep what we all have. Lately I prefer to wheel alone. It's obvious my mentality is offensive to some of you. I don't want to waste anybody's thoughts being offended by cantankerous, middle aged, me. This is your club, I am just me. I'm certainly not someone else, so it serves me best to be honest about what I think, rather than being graceful about what I think. Political correctness is a real problem. I would not be comfortable in my skin being politically correct rather then honest. The only reason that I maintain my TLCA & RS memberships is to pay dues to organizations fighting the good fight that I am not good at, and don't have time for, not because any of you are my friends, and not to make friends. My reputation is not Rising Sun's. Let mine be for that of slapping big tires on my broken down truck and having the most fun without hurting anyone who spent time trying to act superior to what I'm trying to do. You know, I'm not the only guy that loves 4wheeling but also loves heavy-metal, rap, weed, beer, guns and freedom. And everybody loves their kids. I can be excluded easily in society, but none of you will ever exclude me and people like me from the same trails you enjoy from your high horses. So you can point fingers about what kind of people are raping what, but the truth is that we are all capable of being responsible regardless of style or social status. And in real life, I do what I can to help, but mostly, I help myself. Can you guys empathize?

Like it, or not, I am 4wheeling.

Remember when KBPI was first starting up and it was just hours of kick ass reel to reel music. That brings a few memories out of the closet that should stay!

NORAC has the boulder side adopted. Confirmed that tonight with Buddy.

I have a call in to Bill to chat about the Clear Creek side. Buddy reminded me they have a lot going on (which they do already) and mentioned we could co-adopt it. I'll chat with Bill probably tomorrow.

They won't ever be scared of us because not enough of us fight. boulder ranger district is an exception because according to them all motorized off road is the devil (unfortunately, the northern district is getting like this too) but many normal understanding districts get threatened with lawsuits by the eco terrorists who have lots of money and are more organized than us and it's easier to close than risk lawsuits.

if we fight, we can win. but we need people to fight. supporting associations that do the fighting is the first step. i wish more people would take that first step. the denver area has the most four wheelers and the least amount of people involved/helping/joining.

yeah Bunce (after Left Hand) is always the hot topic at our meetings. They've gotten the dude that runs the ATV rental thing up there to start coming to the meetings which is nice, he's understanding how he can help as well.

Lefthand is a cluster

That sounds like what the ATV rental places have to do in Oregon at the sand dunes south of Florence. It's better for everyone. Less accidents and injuries, less damaged equipment, less damaged environment and trails, less all-around headache. Also it can be used as a selling point that they have safety requirements and permits. That's one of the things that a friend's bachelor party used as a deciding factor with where to go to rent ATVs.
