Default Probably a random question

I tried the email address without luck so I'll try here next

In 2018 (yes I know a bit ahead) a group of us will be attending the Cruise Moab event. Half of the guys will be some Japanese friends of ours (a few military guys with Japanese friends) now they won't be able to bring their own rig because of shipping cost a ton.

So... the only rentals we know of are Jeeps. And I get that it is the polar opposite of the event but they'd like to be able to off road while there.

Is it going to be ok to have rental jeeps during a Toyota event?
Is it ok to have just the American guys as a member of TLCA or will we need to register the Japanese guys as well (like can I as a member sponsor them)

And is there a date for 2018 yet?

Looks like the do tours with them but I can't find the rental of the cruisers on the website. I'll shoot them a message though.

I don't check that email daily offseason. To answer the questions:

(1) We don't care what brand or model registers and wheels with us as long as they pass safety inspection. But that includes the required CB radios!
(2) All registrants must be TLCA members. We could not afford to sponsor and host the event without the affordable TLCA liability insurance. Registration would be prohibitively expensive otherwise, and we can not get our BLM, State of Utah, Nat'l Park Service and City of Moab permits without that insurance.

In years past we have had Scouts, Suzukis, J**ps, Broncos and many others wheel with us. They all have to pass safety inspection and all registrants must be TLCA members, but other than that it is not a problem at all to wheel something other than a Toyota.

Our dates are pre-set from our BLM permit. Tuesday through Sunday on whatever dates include the first full weekend of May. By full weekend, that would be both Saturday and Sunday. Looking WAY WAY ahead to 2018, that would be Tuesday May 1st through Sunday May 6th.

I don't know much about Moab rentals but recently I asked the owner of Moab Powersports who I have met through mutual friends. She (Dorrica Brewer) referred me to Twisted jeep rentals 435-259-0335.

BTW, Jeff did not mention but TLCA membership is $35

See you in 2018!
