Everything stock. Oddly enough I just twisted a driveshaft also... I must have hidden torque somewhere. I never bounce and I typically wheel as smooth as possible.

If you have really low gears its possible you could be getting axle wrap. Its less likely sua axle but if you have crawler gears of some sort then it could be happening. It doesn't take much wrap to bind up cruiser ujoints.

The inside of the actuator mechanism looked like an artifact from the Titanic. Apparently the service interval is more than once every 24 years. I did not know the actuator has a breather line and that breather needed to be extended to the other breather lines. We removed, cleaned and reinstalled the actuator at camp and it was working beautifully all day Saturday. Of course the front got jealous and stopped working so I'll be rebuilding that one next! I see a rebuild party in the near future.
One of my favorite hobbies at CM is walking around camp drinking beer fixing random trucks.

Hope jaderunner got that axle fixed up and is home by now.

Just like me, unofficially a great time.

I made it home about 2 hrs ago. Hail storm destroyed my Prius and lots of things on the house and pop up roof.

Mike at Metric hooked me up with an axle today. Jim Sanville was also very helpful. They were busy but made time for me. I was able to get the broken axle out just fine and the used one in. I zip tied my CV boot back on and I was fixed. Then I trailered to Proffitts where Chris Kuhlmann was planning to pick up his Tundra and trailer he lent me. Jeremiah gave me a tour around. That was cool.

It looks like my axle was partially broke for a while now and quietly let loose on Hells at some point. I was complaining about my new MTR's not gripping (even at 10 lbs) and having to put my rear locker in all the time. Perhaps it was broke before I ran Hells Gate. Which I floundered on in front of a huge crowd. I barely made it up and had to drive like crazy to do it.

Probably fatigued. I broke one years back on a dirt road. Same type of thing, probably wore out
