Okay, ads like that are kind of funny to me. Quotes like "dream truck, super truck, amazing!" make me ask why they are selling.
Would be like saying, "looking to trade girlfriend for new girlfriend. Current one is a super model, awesome to hang with, and ***** like a banshee. Looking for simple girl next door. Serious offers considered" lol

80 series with a Tundra V8 swap. Looks like it could use a little work still, but probably a decent starting point for someone:

It looks really sweet for the price. I'm confused as to what is wrong with it? Do people know the seller, or builder? Is it a crap heap or something?

I don't know him or the truck, however, having owned 2 vehicles with engine swaps or other custom bits like that, I can say it's rare that everything works perfect as Toyota intended. There always seems to be some detail that you have to deal with ongoing that gets annoying. Factor in emissions and all those computer bits, and it really ups the chance that something is wonky. His shifter console is out, so I can say at least that wasn't finished, and I doubt that's the only part just based on experience only. Now if SLEE had done this, I might change my prediction quite a bit.
