Looks like a good deal Chris. Let Melinda have that one and you can wheel this one with the 5-speed

Seeing how Romer has an eye for good deals, might as well let the cat out of the bag...

I am in the market for another 100...I hate when Romer, Nakman and especially Christo are right!

Yes, on the eve of the next mod phase, Melinda let me know that she is happy with her 100 and I need to go find my own..

Funny how these conversations go at my house...
"do you know how expensive this hobby is?"
"do you know who I am? I am Chris Sandstorm. I can't be without a trail rig, It's like Superman without a cape? Guys at my age have hobbies, woodworking, modding trail rigs, RC tractor pull races, slot cars, trains, collecting old clocks, yard sales, etc.."

I considered an 80 but finding a clean locked 80 is well, lets just say I am not the only one looking.

Since I have already invested in wheels, tires, sliders for a 100..All I need to get trail ready is lift and skids..Yeah right....

So, I am looking for a 98-99, any color but white, green, black or tan..I found a blue and silver one in Cali, if they will work with me on the price, I will once again make the pilgrimage to CA for a vehicle..

Hope to be ready for the trail leader training next month....

Keep an eye out for me if you see a good deal.

Thanks

Great, now we are both looking for a 98-99 but I'll go any color, so I can pick up the table scraps that you don't care for.

That and I'm looking specifically to trade my 80 for it...

So are all you former 80 owners that are now hundy guys happy with the switch? I'm feeling the "herd" mentality pull getting stronger.

There's a thread on mud about that very topic. Most guys say yes, few no. Of the one I recall, he kept the 100 and gave it to the princess, and went and bought another 80 for himself.

Chris, you might as well start stuffing business cards under wipers at the mall. Bet you get a few bites out of that. Cut the "dealer" out of the deal and save yourself a long drive and thousands of bucks. I play a little game quite often in town....hold your breath until you see a 100. Never takes more than about 45 seconds. I tend to do it a lot while waiting for the train on I-25. It's usually less than 30 seconds. I don't actually hold my breath btw.... It's crazy how many are around DTC and Cherry creek.

What I would want in a perfect world is a Blue Rhino...a Blue 100 with a SAS like Christo's White Rhino...alas, that's a lot of coin. I love my 80, best wheeling rig I've ever driven but as I get further into my 40's (years not fj40's) I don't feel the same need to conquer rocks and super tough wheeling...I want a rig with a little more luxury and a little more power that can be expo built, can get me to my hunting areas and is still appropriate for when the wifey and I start building a rugrat...
