Did you get hit by the rain yesterday? I had to ford nearly 20" of water on the HWY yesterday on my commute home at the NM/CO border. The Arroyos were flashing pretty hard over the road.

I'm just starting to go through photos....

So here are two teasers...

But from a quick look through my photos (and video) tells me that this was ABSOLUTELY EPIC!

Each day was different, and each day my pictures are very different.

Some were out on the plains of Eastern New Mexico, some days were like a teaser for what was to come, one day was all about incredible vistas, one day was about a a train, the next day was about a truly stunning pass, and another was about a detour that turned out to be more scenic than we could have possibly imagined.

I had an absolute blast. I'm going to hold back some of the best pics. I think we may have a little competition amongst a few of us for the cover of Toyota Trails.

Default Back to reality

Got home at 1am. What a trip...private ranch camping, stunning colors, train ride, tarantulas, minor truck issues. Good weather, bad weather, and great times. Sorting through gobs of pics tonight and tomorrow.

That's a good idea. I'll save my photos for that thread.

This morning, I drove back over La Manga Pass to ride the train again. 32 degrees and foggy. But it sure made for a pretty picture...

As I have started organizing my photos last night and tonight, I have ended up with, like thirty two folders to try and categorize them. It's so overwhelming, that I pretty much froze, and decided to post this picture I snapped today at Osier (I only took 320 photos today, so it's pretty manageable).

The difference from Wednesday to Today is incredible. We definitely hit the peaking of the aspens. Maybe half of the aspen leaves have fallen up high in the past few days.
