That's rad. Count me in for the shuttle party. Sounds like a blast. Btw, I need to reconnect with you on the roof rack idea for the Tundra that we talked about so long ago.

I've used commercially produced pull behind sleds with snowmobiles for years, transporting radio equipment to mountain top sites.

Most of them are made from aluminum because when you get stuck, especially in deep powder, that 85 pounds in the summer feels like 400 pounds when you are waist deep in snow.

If you put a passenger on the sled, you will make it about 20 feet before they start screaming at you to stop because their faces are full of snow coming off of the track. You will need some type of shield up front to deflect the snow.

looks like a fun project though.

Good tip, thanks Randy.. I have been thinking of a shield to bolt to the "tongue" of the trailer for that purpose. And funny you should chime in, I'm still zappin' stuff together with your old welder.

That was a pretty good old buzz box, still made good welds.

I am coming back from Australia in October, this will be the end of the international assignments. A couple more years of running domestic projects, then its time to move on to something else.

Good luck with the project!

I'd probably jump on for the 2nd or 3rd test run at least. I agree with Barry, matching hats may be required.

Way cool man!
