Cool Bill Burke Trail Leader Training March 2017

It was a very good weekend. I learned more in 2 days than I have learned in the last 5 years. Much more to come.

That was an absolutely awesome high value experience. "An experience of a lifetime" would be an accurate assessment from my view. Great trainers, locations, weather, group dynamic etc, etc.

Huge thanks to Bill Burke and Chris Nelson of BB4WA for providing a curriculum exceptionally well tailored to our groups experience and goals. BB4WA has been a supporter of Cruise Moab for years but this was just above and beyond my expectations.

Huge thanks to Travis Hurley for putting it all together and organizing it!

As the others have said, great experience.

Picked up some key information.

Big thanks to T. Hurley for organizing.

You guys are more than welcome. Looks like Hulk beat me to this but the Commander requested the following:

"Mornin' fellow Burke students. Like I said at the end of our weekend this is a lot to absorb and process. That being said...for the benefit of the club I am asking all of you to not go crazy on posting all this up so fast. Purpose ...so that we can do it in a more organized fashion for promotion in the club and Cruise Moab. Thank you."

IMO, everything posted thus far is completely appropriate and encouraged. It's my understanding that the driving, hi-lift, & winching techniques are what Greg would like to keep on the DL until after the recovery night and possibly CM.

On another note, Denver Wire & Rope is on my list of companies to call. Anyone interested in winchline extensions?
