Default Classic Cruisers

just posting up some kudos for Classic Cruisers
the owner Brandon has been great to deal with as well as all of his staff

I sold him an engine and other parts as well as purchased some parts

i had the opportunity to head up yesterday for a 77 2F bell house and snapped some pictures

the red rig was my best friends in college and roommate for years
still my best friend
we took many trips in that truck
college was in grand junction sonwe went to moab often and skiing about every other day
its this truck that helped solidify my love for 40s
he hit a tree in about 1994 and totaled it
it was a prestine rig

Good memory for you and it appears to have had the factory chrome package by the looks of the front bumper. The red 40 I sold a few years ago to a friend had that package. Wasn't sure it was a real package until I saw an old Toyota ad in a magazine that showed the bumper, bumperettes and something else I can't remember that came from Japan with chrome finish. Made the 40 faster, no doubt.

Ah, yes, the bezel - that is what I couldn't remember. Thanks, Ige. TGIF!

Been trying to get Brandon into Toyota Trails again. Merle still works there now and then. It was rather bizarre when I called a while back and Merle answered the phone. Thought I was in the Twilight Zone for a minute!

think they did the running boards on the later models with the thinner stamped running boards. mine was a 70 so it had the thick running boards

The original Mall Cruiser!
Yes, Brandon has done some good things down in Salida. He's a good resource.

Default Great resource

For those of us with FJ55s, Classic Cruisers is a great resource. I think I counted 22 of 'em last time I was in before the ownership change. Glad Merle is still around occasionally...great knowledge and advice.
