Nice! Good to hear I'm on the right track. I'll be honest I have yet to actually put a tape and measure out WMS. I want to be able to DD this truck if it's called for, or out to Moab, or up hunting. I need to stick to what is overland/street capable too. 65" is out of the question. I'm thinking Taco width cause I can get a factory rear housing that'll accept all my current parts otherwise I'm looking at an additional $700-900. I can't afford that. The $2100 is already requiring the sale of my blue truck and possibly my extra supercharger (haha I KNOW, right?)

2100?

What am I missing?

Don't you already have chromo birfs? All you need is a housing and a set of inner axles. 2100 is what I'd expect to pay with all the other goodies on top of the housing.

Either way, get a Diamond. Lots of threads on Pirate about TG axles coming with the balls welded on at different angles. Little more money, a lot less headache.

If you do that, bring it up here and leave it so I can put it on a severe diet so you can keep up

I stumbled upon a thread on Trail Damage the other night, Wheeler Lake 2003. How about we bring this back with a little vintage Chili..

That's my YodaTech friend Mike Brown in the white shirt. I think I was on that run. We thought the Chili was huge and impressive back then.

Front axle:

Housing: 975
custom inner shaft 235
spring perches (pair) 40
ubolt flip kit 69-have to use-larger diameter housing
longer tierod and draglink, 140
knuckle ball gussets 75-Maybe?

Rear axle
2 longer rear chromo shafts(pair) 450 for the pair
spring perches (pair) 40
Axle gussets-between 15-100
Shock hardware-10

Miscellaneous unforseen stuff 100

Total=$2105

The only difference between the Rock Ass price and this breakdown is the cost of the front housing and axle shaft. Total those run $785 vs the Diamond runs $1210.

I haven't seen Mike Brown since probably around that time.
