Default Chinaman's Gulch Sunday 6/7/09

I got a call from my youngest daughter late on Saturday. She was putting together a last minute plan to do a run to Chinaman's Gulch near Buena Vista with the Colorado4x4 group.

My daughter has an XJ (black sheep of the family) that gets around pretty good. I was the lone Toyota in a group of 15 *eeps, but I did RS proud and made it over all of the obstacles in good form.

It turned out to be real nice day and one of the first times I got to spend some quality time with my grandkids.

I think we should make a run there with our group, I would sure go again. I think we should have a contest to come up with the best caption for the picture where Kim is looking out the driver's window just as she starts to tip...

It is great to spend time with family and even better when you get to do so in such beautiful places. You've really done a bunch with your 40 since last August and I'm glad to see you are getting the Blue Mule out and enjoying it this summer. Even though they are young, spending time on grandpa's lap is something they will always remember.
