Default Argentine 6/13

60wag and I snuck up to Argentine Pass this morning. Beautiful weather, not many people either. Tried to take the high road above the mine towards the "Ige Challenge" but too much snow, couldn't even make it to the switchback to go the other way. So we turned around...

Went down a different way than I'd gone before, as you make it back from the mine instead of doing a sharp turn to head back downhill towards that emergency shelter, kept going straight. that turned into a pretty fun descent where I got to make fresh tracks a few times. Then it got pretty tight in the trees, and at one point there was actually an obstacle or two to negotiate. it ended down on the main road, where if you went straight across the main road you could take the lower road down by the river under the power lines. that's what we did, and then we ran into some young guy in a bling red 4runner, out picking flowers with his mom.

Sweet! I was surprised at how much snow is left up there this late! Did you guys record your time?

Nice to see you getting the Taco out on the trail Tim!

Ok I downloaded and filled out the form, do you have an email for Brant? I can mail it if not, just seems so archaic, that's all.

I have to say it was gorgeous up there and the flower picking was incredible

Seriously though I'm going to go camping up there soon cause the weather is great and everything is so stinkin green.
