Default Gulches run 12/16/2017

Ok we’re on. Going to plan on running Hackett Gulch. If we make great time, we may jack around somewhere else.

Stock friendly, sliders recommended. There is a very short downhill section where line selection can be tricky. If you mess up, you could tap a slider. Megan cleaned everything today in the 80 without lockers our touching a slider.... megan is a pretty good driver.

MAKE SURE YOU TOP OFF IN ASPEN PARK or WOODLAND PARK
There is no fuel in Deckers, or anywhere near the trail.

Bring lunch, snacks and warm clothing

Meet in Deckers (just south of Pine) at 8:45
Depart Deckers at 9:15.

HAM 146.460
CB: 4

Plan on getting home about 6pm.

Next weekend is looking questionable for me. It will be a game time decision.

Are these trails even stock friendly?

Edit: I won't be able to make it this time. Have fun, guys.

I am interested. Maybe a newb question, but I assume Gulches refers to Metberry, Longwater and Hacket Gulches?

Not sure I would take a stocker on these trails. Much of them could be done stock, but there are quite a few sections with ledges or other obstacles I would not take a stock vehicle over.

I don't know that I would go so far as to say that Hackett is "Stock Friendly", so much as it is "stock possible". I'd highly recommend armor. Hackett has gotten a little more difficult due to erosion over the past few years. Still, not "stock impossible".

Is meeting spot at the Country Store in Deckers? For some of us, coming from Sante Fe (HI-85) is much faster
