Default Bill Moore after the rally

Sorry I showed up late and left early. I promised the wife she could go to the outlets that afternoon. It was nice to catch up with the group and see everyone!

And a huge thank-you to all who attended! We had 17 Rising Sun rigs on this run! No stucks or breakages, had a wonderful hike to the other side of the lake for lunch. There were lots of nice wildflowers blooming, and the wind kept the mosquitoes away. Our esteemed guest, Denver Post photographer Helen Richardson had taken over 700 photos when she started shooting more. Hopefully some of them will appear in our hometown newspaper.

Thank you Jeff and to everyone else that made it a great day at Bill Moore. The Stock 80 got it's belly scratched a couple of times, but made it through like a champ.

Wow, what a great run this was!!! Our group was large to begin with and was joined by a few more. On the way up there were 23 trucks between Jeff and I. Many thanks to Jeff for leading this run and Rick for giving me a hand with radio communications and driving. I believe I got around to see just about everyone and am pleased to report everyone was having a good time. We had quite a few family groups join us for this run and the little ones had a good time on the way up and good naps on the way down. With a group this large, it just was not possible to get a group photo, in fact we would not all fit in the parking lot up top.

Here are a few shots of the group airing down and the assembling for the drivers meeting.

Here are a couple of shots of about 1/2 the group at the spot we pulled over to let the Rovers get by. The ended up blending in with our group before we reached the lake.

A few of shots from the parking area at the lake.

Finally a couple of shots from the trail.

Many in the group were taking their rigs out for the first time, including our neighbor Kyle. His FJ Cruiser did extremely well. For all of our newbies, we enjoyed having you with us and look forward to seeing you at a meeting or on the trail again.

Since I am on call, I couldn't make it (though as it turns out I got no calls - not worth the risk though).
HOWEVER.. they shut the servers down at 5:30PM Saturday until 6:30AM Sunday, so guess what! NIGHT RUN!
We had a great time, grilled some burgers and WONDERFUL corn on the cob, and got back to town about 1AM.
We did not go all the way to BML though... someone was up there with a semi-auto plinking in the night.
I sincerely doubt he was able to be sure of his backstop...

The white 79 is Ken Davidson's (he is Mike "Treeroot" Davidson's dad), and the black V8J40 is Nick Hudson's. He and his dad (Bruce in the blue stock runner) drove all the way from Nebraska to make it to the Rally and this run.
