Default Meet "The Gecko"

First off, talk to the if you don't like the name cause it's her idea.

This is our new rig. Sorry for the lousy cell phone pictures. We were looking for a longer wheel base vehicle that was easy to drive on the street to get to local wheeling events without trailering. It's a 1985 X-Cab truck with a 117" wheel base. It's a 22RE, 5 speed, with Marlin Crawler dual cases, an All-Pro tube bed, MC bumper with stinger, Ramsey 9500 winch with synthetic line, 5.29's with a Detroit Locker in the rear and an ARB up front. It also has Hi-Steer with the IFS steering box and Longfield axles/birfs & hub gears.

I performed my signature 6 rattle can paint job on it Saturday (Bill, it looks MUCH better than when you saw it) since it was multi colorad and not nearly bright enough. I also added the beadlocks and 37" Goodyear MTR's.

I also got a complete All-Pro Extreme long travel suspension setup with it that I will have to install. It's a good thing too since I broke the drivers front spring pack in half yesterday on Chinaman's Gulch.. I was going to keep this secret until I got it all finished and drove it to one of the monthly meetings but due to the big story on the OCG run I figured I might as well share it early.

Were still keeping the Blue Mule if you're wondering, just adding a new horse to the stable. It's amazing how much easier the LWB climbs!

Nice! Pretty soon you'll be doing competitive rock crawling and we'll all watch you on TV.

So, you are another Uni-baller like Lance Armstrong.

BTW-The truck looks great. What is the back story? I assume you are keeping the Mule too?

Very cool new rig. Is it yours, or are you now relegated to painting, wrenching, breaking, fixing/upgrading Dee's truck?
