Seems like it's taken awhile for real production. Weren't these same examples available 7 or 8 years ago in small numbers? I recall checking them out at the international motorcycle show in NYC when I lived there back in 2001 or 2002.

Very looking bikes.

Ducati builds a couple with the style of the 60-70s and tech of today too. Gets my vote every time. I like houses like that too.

the cafe is the new street fighter. I really considered putting usd forks or other new things in my build, but it wasn't worth the effort for what I could get in return. I have to be able to quickly liquidate if needed, and I have found over building to be cool in bikes doesn't get you squat at resale time.

I did update the guts to progressive rates, different pre-load springs and valves on the forks, and added a 16mm radial master cylinder with steel line to the braking system.

The forks will flex now just under static braking pressure!!! (with no brace)

There are other reasons to upgrade besides resale! USD can be pretty pricey in comparo to the rest of the bike though. Your homemade cafe racer is pretty darn cool, and you are a helluva fabricator d00d.

I've been following this near still-birth of Norton for several years now. Participated in a few design polls. They certainly are not listening to *my* input. Must be the lone voice, crying in the wilderness.

Yes, it's a parallel twin, but it retains none of the charm of the original. It reeks of Japan retro-moderne to me. I do agree with John that Cafe Racer seems to be the new Streetfighter.
