Default What does your 40 weigh?

I weighed my 40 today with spare, a full tank of gas, and some of my standard gear and it came in at 4370 lbs. I would be interested in knowing what others' 40s weigh.

i weighed the lemon twenty some years ago, before i moved her and before it had lost 500 in rusty steel and iirc, it was around 4690. that was with dual tanks, both full, lifted, full size spare, bumper and gear.

Thanks for the offer; it would be fun to drive a different 40. I just stopped by a sand and gravel yard today and they did it for free (I did not ask for a certificate).

Maybe sometime this summer I'll have to run it down to one of the places on Santa Fe - It would be nice to know

Yeah, typically around 4000 pounds, depending on a bunch of stuff. I recall that soft top models weigh less than hard tops. My FJ45 was around 3960 when it got weighed coming over the border.
