What Wes and Tim said. OEM fogs... for the 40 too.

No experience with real driving lights, but what I do is run Hella 500 clear fogs as semi-aux lights along with the E-code Hella headlights. I aimed them to stack the two fog beams, e.g. the lights are slightly cross-eyed. The beams still are low enough to work reasonably well for fog when I need them but in clear weather act like a pretty good low beam with a focused but wide-ish band of light in front of the truck.

The Hella housings with good bulbs on high reach out plenty long enough for the Mighty Hilux not to overdrive them but don't blind oncoming drivers too much (about a 10% light flick rate). Personally I think the key is to match the fog light and headlight color temp, too, that makes the bubble of light more seamless to your eyes.

Cibie Oscar's if you can find them. In my mind and many others still some of the best lights ever made. I used to have two floods and two pencil beams, great for what ever I was doing. Power draw was pretty big but then again I had 120 Watt bulbs in the pencils and 85 in the floods. Wish I never got rid of them....................wait they were stolen

If you can't them then I would look at some IPF's or Light-force, like the idea of changing the color shields.

LOVE my 4000's, they are bomb-proof as well. I upgraded the bulbs to the hot rod 125 watts and wired them into my high beams... unreal.
