Default The FJ40

Well, it finally worked out and I found the FJ40 that I was looking for! This is the one from Arizona (1976) that you guys may remember falling through after the buyer backed out and then called back and changed his mind. It's got all the records since new (or close to it), no rust (original paint too!), and just over 70,000 original miles.

In progress: carb rebuild, new fuel pump, belts, hoses, oil, fluids, cap, rotor, plugs, valve adjustment, etc. It really needs nothing, but I want it tip-top for summer.

I see now why people are so crazy for these little trucks. They are a blast!

Yeah, I am cutting those little fenders out this weekend and putting in a Buick Skylark V6 that I got at a pick-n-pull.

I'm also looking for a set Suzuki Samurai axles if anyone has a bead on some...

I'll try to snap more pics in the next couple of days.
