Default Our newest addition

Say Hello to Dee's new rig "Meanie". Meanie is a 1969 FJ40 that was Jeremiah Proffitt's first FJ40. He did a frame off restoration on it before it was sold to a customer in Texas. It came back a few years later to be coverted into a full rock crawler for that same customer. Now it's time for it to come back to Colorado where it belongs. Jeremiah originally named it Meanie so it just seemed right to stick with that name. The technical details are:

5.3L Chevy vortec V8 with TH400 automatic hooked to a 4.2-1 Atlas II transfer case. Tom Woods drivelines going to a Dana 60 up front with 35 spline outers, king pin, 4.88 gears and an ARB locker. Dana 60 rear with a Detroit locker.

Front suspension is SOA full width OME leaf springs with saginaw power steering and hydro boost. Rear is 4 link with fox air shocks. 4 wheel disc brakes, MRW beadlocks with 42" IROK's, Warn winch, corbeau seats & harnesses. And yes, the very first thing I do to it will be to paint over the Texas flag on the hood and the tail.

Oh yeah, Dee is now registered on the forum as "DEE ROCKS" so let her know what you think of her new toy.

Very cool Dee. For safety, I would recommend Gust takes the front seat and Randy rides in the back.

Dang, didn't you just contemplate this like 2 days ago? Wow. Nice. If I could only save up for the weekly beer run this fast.

Yes, but when you find a great deal for an outstanding price you have to strike fast before smeone else snags it.

Were going to have Jeremiah relocate the fuel tank and air compressor backwards and install a small back seat there so we can tote grandkids and varmints
