seriously though.. if you spend 3k or more on sas and lockers.. you get 1k for your rig you really only 1k or less depending on how much you sink into the runner away from arguably the best expedition vehicle ever built out of the box. That is hard to deny if there is a locked 80 for 5k..

I don't deny that the 80's are good rigs, there just not for everybody, like me. I dont have a dog, family etc, most of the space in my rig is taken up by gear, , and camera gear.

I'm a mini truck guy.

Hey Perry, If you want we can do a permanent fix on your truck at my place for pretty much free.

It is fixed pretty darn well now and with some more work it'd be back to the way it was.

Hey now, don't spend all of his money. He needs to save a few hundred bucks so he can get a certain Marlin 4.7 t-case from a certain 1991 Hilux.

Whenever that actually happens...

You all realize that Perry has a very thick skull, don'tcha? Like solid bone from ear to ear? You're not going to convince him to give up on his 4Runner no matter what. Emotion trumps logic when it comes to love for old vehicles.

Best advice I got was from Scott Brady "Use what you have". Lets face it, building the 4runner is going to be cheaper than buying a new rig and building that. And that's a good thing for my income.
