Default Gunnison camping?

Can anyone suggest a good location for remote camping (stock 80 series) in the Gunnison area? Not lot's of people, water, views all a plus of course! Doesn't have to be in Gunnison but around the general area would be good. Thanks.

Lots of remote opportunities up near Pitkin to the east.. the prettiest though likely the Black Canyon NP? Also there are spots off of 742 between Almont and Taylor Park Res. that would be along a river? lots o' options there...

There are also a lot of good places between the Creed and Lake City area, a little South of Gunnison.

It takes me about an hour to get to Lake City from Gunny. But, if you go over Blue Mesa towards Lake City and turn towards Powderhorn there is some nice camping along Cebolla creek. I bet you could find dispersed camping in 35-ish minutes and campground stuff along Cebolla in 1hour and 15 minutes (Deer Lakes area).

Or, just after you drop down off Blue Mesa on the way to Lake City there are a couple sweet campgrounds along the Lake Fork of the Gunnison. Seriously nice river. And probably 40-45 minutes from Gunny.
