Default First big project: fiberglass

So, in the interest of getting my hardtop back together by next winter, what's the best way to approach cleaning up fiberglass? By cleaning I mean stripping the paint off the outside and the headliner glue off of the inside...

Sandpaper on a random orbit sander (along with a good respirator)?
I'm thinking the wire wheel I've been using for metal parts isn't exactly going to do wonders on fiberglass...

Ideas?
