Default New Icon vehicle: an $80k flat fender Jeep

Article in today's NY Times about the latest Icon vehicle:
What Price Perfection? The $80,000 Army Jeep

Gotta say it: these things are pretty cool. I've always wanted a flattie (just not for $80,000).

The coil suspension is pretty cool. Did the Fj40 version get coils or was it still leaves?

Gavin and I met this guy this morning, he drives the streets of Ely, MN every evening. showed me pictures of his restore, he rebuilt most of the body panels by hand from old steam pot steel. Gun is hand made too.. doesn't fire but I saw a picture of a cannon he pulls that he'll fire off on the 4th..
