Question Mid-life crisis car?

I've been thinking about buying something a lot more sporty than a Land Cruiser. Right now, I'm leaning heavily towards an Infiniti G35X or G37X. But I simply don't even know what's out there, so I am open to suggestions.

Requirements:
  • Back seat (I have 2 kids)
  • Used. I'd prefer $20K or less, but might consider selling my blood to buy a $30K sports car.
  • Japanese preferred. I have bad luck buying used German cars.
  • Something that doesn't require 100 hours of shop time to make it drivable or fun.

I remember some of those sweet Toyota Supras from the early 90s. Can those be purchased for a reasonable amount? Have they all been raced or crashed or completely modified?

Post pictures, links, recommendations. TIA for any and all advice!

Here's one I've been drooling over (picture below).

I thought a mid life crisis car wasn't supposed to have a back seat.

Or be something your grandfather would drive to play golf.

Matt, look at the G35 Coupe. I almost bought one a couple years ago. It's a 350Z with a back seat. Only drawback is it's RWD. Another thought would be an older Lexus SC400. I think the Supras are $25K plus used, if you can find one, unmolested at that.

I like the infinitis. You might also want to consider a Subaru WRX/STI. Also my nephew let me drive his Mitisubishi EVO and that's scary fast.

X2 on what Mike said on the Infinity G35 or G37 coupe....drop the all wheel drive and have some RW drifting fun. Drive the LC on snowy days! You only live once....do it!!!
