Brian, you'll be veryy happy with the ones I have. Get 3 for the free shipping. If you bring the 3rd to a meeting you won't have any problem unloading it.

I think Equipt offers a very nice can as well with a built in spigot at the bottom. But around $40-50 per can from memory.

edit; found them here is the link: http://www.equipt1.com/companies/Sto...can-water-tank

Here are some MUD threads on the cans I have.

I've had mine for years and wasn't shopping for them when I noticed them.
I don't recall details, just happened to notice they stocked quite a few.

D.R.E. also can do a wedding registry for the budding young, under-stocked river guide couple.

Sceptor cans are awesome! I have a bunch, as well. I found some half sizes also, when I was at the overland Expo a few years back..

I put gas in the diesel tan can though and I heard that it rots the gasket..So I guess I need to give Rutbeer my diesel tan can...

As you all know, you can't get the gas/diesel versions of the military grade plastic Sceptor in the US or Canada anymore. That all went away Spring of 09.

Got my scepter-ish cans from LCI today. A bit over 50 bucks for 3. Ordered Sun. night and got here wed. No rubber gaskets anywhere on the can, like others have mentioned on expo.

As long as the lid is on TIGHT you won't have any problems with leakage. At least not in my experience. I keep on in my truck full time full. No issues.

Cool. Yea it looks like it should seal ok. People on expo were talking how on the breath valve there was no oring..but I don't see how you could even get one on there since the small cap wont even unscrew completely. I think for the price its a pretty good deal!
