Default Memorial Day weekend runs?

Still a bunch of snow, but is anyone going anywhere this weekend?

We're thinking of going west toward Moab. No plans beyond that though.

Nothing is set in stone yet. But I might be going to the tri-state survey monument( the Colorado/Utah/Wyoming property corner, because I'm a nerd.) And then possibly on to Flaming Gorge Res. That is unless I get completely side tracked somewhere else.

Looking like we might stop in Grand Junction to visit my aunt. What roads should we check out while we're there? She lives just off DS Road above the Monument.

You got the Colorado national monument on one side, and the Grand Mesa on the other... Both worth checking out. I like going up onto the Mesa, towards Colbran and check out Vega lake and or the Cottonwood lakes. You can also go north of town with lots dirt roads that go forever...pretty fun... Take 25 road for that.

Yep. Always do. I tend to try and get lost out somewhere and camp for the night wherever the mood strikes me.

If anyone is hanging around town this weekend I will most likely head up somewhere close to town. I know my son in law has new tires on his joop he wants to break in. Thinking Yankee Hill. Will post up later when I have something more concrete.
