Yes, that top plate slides out, which also reveals the contents of the drawer behind it if you don't have the drawer slid out. I went with the low drawer on the fridge slide because I like easy fridge access while driving, or while stopped without having to slide something out onto the tailgate. Plus it's less intrusive to my rear view mirror view, I can still see over the top of the fridge.


The only thing I need to figure out now is how to modify the side covers on the low side, since they were designed for the taller drawers and have L-brackets that need to be cut down, etc. There also aren't any attachment points on that low side either.

Ok got my trim pieces modified... the low boy makes the trim pieces too close to the wheel well, so even with some bracket trimming they'd need to be trimmed further to flatten out over there.

So I ended up putting them up high, as a wing off the higher drawer. I like this better actually, in that I've got a much larger platform for tubs of gear, and the fridge still fits on the slide. In fact those big tubs that I always take camping, etc. can actually fit sideways now. here are your pics:
