My aftermarket canister has been in for quite some time now and even with the recent heat...no issues. And no smell!

Oreily's matched the $35.99 from Pep Boys, because they also offer a limited lifetime warranty... Autozone's warranty is only 2 years so they would not match that price. It has to be similiar warranties to get the price match.. Glad i took several printouts.
It will arrive from Billings Montana Sat or Mon.....

I have replaced with both OEM and the aftermarket. I'd say that the aftermarket completely eliminates vent pressure to a greater extent than OEM, but neither eliminated the vapor smell when hot, although I think the aftermarket holds it down a bit better.

Based on Scangauge II, my temps run in normal ranges. I just don't think these systems are designed to handle today's ethanol mixtures.

Yup. I sold my OEM replacement that I paid $260 for to recoup some cost. The GM cannister is larger and whatever advantage I can ascribe to it is purely size and cost, and now availability as the OEM is discontinued.

I do think that using premium fuel keeps smell down a bit, and that may be due to somewhat lower ethanol levels (purely speculation that this is even true).

Long term I hope to put in a GM flex fuel crate system. That stuff is designed for this ridiculous mess.
