Default Toys for Tots

Ricardo and I took the Mule yesterday and did the Toys for Tots caravan out to Jeffco Fairgrounds. We also saw Nakman out there but other than that we were about the only Toyotas.

This is a really great cause, we should try to make this a formal club run next year (steve??) and get a large contingent to participate.

There were a ton of Jeeps of all sizes and shapes and lots of very friendly folks. All of the vendor displays and lunch were inside a heated building.

By Noon the Marines had filled 2 duece and a half trucks to the brim and were over flowing into a 3rd one. Ricardo forgot his camera so the photos are a little sparse but we did get a few of Gus sitting in the back of the Marine truck. They really liked him, suggested we make him the official mascot next year

Amber and I and all the kids plus the ex-RS secretary Cindy were all there also in the red 80...saw Mr. Ricardo but nobody else. The kids all had a great time luggin in a few sacks of toys...very proud of them, they picked the toys out themselves. A great event...

I was there and waved to you Randy in the HD parking lot before we left, but my 40 power steering was complaining so badly I had to park it and take my Ram instead. I agree, there was hardly any Toyota representation. I haven't missed one of these events and they've been growing in size every year, but this one. Seemed like a slighty smaller turnout overall, as well as virtuallyl no Toyota's. I saw: Randy's 40, 2 80's (black or dark green), a yellow 1st gen 4Runner, and a green SAS 2nd gen 4Runner. That's it.

black or dark green= Emerald Green Pearl..

yeah great event, was fun saying hello again to a few friends from the 4x4 community, I guess this year may have been a little smaller since C. Springs got the raffle truck? Either way, I'll be back next year.
