'03s and newer have side impact airbags standard. 98-02 do not have side impact airbags front or back.

Don't know if they are still this way, but a dealer once told me that landcruisers were all allocation. Meaning, the dealer doesn't spec them or order them, they were just lucky to get whatever the manufacturer sent them. (Side note, I had a Honda dealer tell me the same thing about Civic SI's)
Not all the climate controls are integrated. If you want to set it to auto and adjust the temp accordingly you can do that. If you want to turn on the front or rear defrost, you can do that. The controls in the NAV are the touchscreen controls that allow you to take it out of auto mode and adjust fan speed, which vent sets, etc. I have never used the manual climate controls built into the nav. Set the temp, have it on (auto) and it knows when to heat and when to cool. These controls are standard type buttons outside the NAV touchscreen. I am happy with Nav setup. Dont use the GPS much, but like the Bluetooth phone setup and trip information. Typically, I leave the screen off.

That right there was pretty impressive. Maybe you should go ahead and get one Martin. I bet Kim and Ilsa would like it!

I do the same. I rarely use the touchscreen for anything. I keep it on "Trip Info" and it gives MPG, miles til empty, avg speed and other basic info. I would rather have the non nav just for the fact that if the screen takes a dump, it's $$$ to fix. I use a Garmin GPS because the factory one is way too cumbersome and confusing too.

If it's important to you, 2001 and newer will also have the LATCH system for car seats in the second row. That was a big factor for me for when we take the kids places the Honda Odyssey can't go.

Thanks Perry. We're just glad no one was hurt.

I've been trying to convince Kim a 100 would be a good replacement but in the end she wanted another truck and found a Double Cab Tundra she liked better.

Sorry for hijacking the 100 thread.
