Supercharger wasn't the cause, but it probably aggravated the problem. Moral of the story: don't drive with an exhaust pipe that has been smashed nearly flat (entrance to Grizzly Lake trail).

$326 is not bad... I had a 3B and rebuild kit shipped down from Canuckleland for $450ish.

I have used Forward Air several times for engines and trannys. Each time they were substantially less than anyone else. I had an F engine shipped from TX to Denver for about $200. That included a bunch of ancillaries such as BH etc. and weighed over 700 pounds. A couple of H41 trannys from Bay area of CA to Denver for about $35, that was 135 pounds.

The thing that makes them so inexpensive is that they do not pick up or deliver. Shipper has to deliver the item to their terminal near a major airport and recipient has to pick up at their terminal near a major airport.
