Default Split Case 4:1 gear sets

IMO, very
Now Orion isn't the only way to go slow...(I would still love an Orion though, I think. 4:1 seems a little TOO low for most of what I run).

These are cool. Georg is building me one next week. I currently am running an h55 / split case with Marks 3:1 gear set and it's great. The only problem I have with my set up is that lost 50% of my over drive. Now I can go back to 4:11 and still have lower gearing and full overdrive. That will be cool !
So if anyone is looking for a 3:1 split case, I have one that is a fresh rebuild from Georg with maybe 1800 city miles on it.

how do you lose 50% overdrive in a 3:1? The final drive is 1:1? you mean you changed the diff ratio (to something like 4.88) too and now your going back to 4.11?

Marks gears come in 3 ratios, 1:1, 0.92:1, or 1:08:1. I have the later. I lose about 4% of the 8% overdrive, in Georgs figures anyway.
And yes I am running 4:88 with 37's.
