Default A little rain!!!!

Well today we had a little rain and it created a bit of a stir with the locals. The power of water. One pic is of the road a little bit down from the house, the other is at the bottom near CR 83.
All is well with the family

sorry for the blurry pic's, but maybe you get the idea.

I was in Boulder tonight, never seen Boulder Creek that high.. was up over the banks, and dark muddy water too, like it had wreaked havoc the whole way down the canyon. All sorts of people were crowded around the bridges watching, cops had folks staying clear of all the underpasses.. wild.

Well I heard from one VFF that 4 mile canyon creek raised it level over 3 ft of water this evening. I guess last week was not as bad, so it will be interesting to see how much junk got moved on the roads and damage it caused. I just hope no one gets hurt. We had two young people in a car driving up the road when a wall of water came at them on CR83, they stated they almost got stuff in the ditch as it hit the side of there car. Just dumb luck that they did not end up next to the honda next to the tree.

I was playing with the new HT radio last night and heard the Four Mile Canyon road was closed on a local net.

I remember that from when I was a kid. Nothing like needing low range just to get back to your house!!!

One summer, I remember my dad and I coming home after a rain storm and having to ford the river that originally went UNDER the road. to me, it was a BLAST! Water crossing on the way home always makes for a fun time.
