Thanks for the link. Looked like fun.

Wow, I haven't been on MUD in a long time. Anyone else think the bombardment of ads is over the top?

Can't say the ads have bothered me. I'm not a supporting member though either.

Sad to see Wild Rice on a strap! I'm disappointed I, or no one, took pics of the broken rigs littering camp! If you had a bunch of D60 short side front axles you could have paid for your trip. I popped my left rear cryoed cromo axle on Hal Johns and when I got home and changed it out discovered the energy that was stored up in the axle shredded the Detroit Locker when it let go! No regrets as the new POWERtrain works way beyond any expectation! Camp was hilarious every night with the sound of grinders, high pitch whine of on-board welders and multiple ratchets spinning with the constant laughter of friends having a great time permeated the clean South Dakota air!

It was also awesome to see the Forest Service WORK closely with the hosting club in person trying to come up with compromises. The Black Hills received above average water fall this spring and early summer so many springs had popped up. There was a shortage of medium challenge trails because of this. Compromises were made to bypass wet sections and even run trails backwards, turn around at the water and drive back out. Trails are clean and well maintained because of the co-partnership between users and forest management! My hat is tipped to the management strategies of the USFS management in the Black Hills!

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the breakage, but the pics are cool. Lots of nicely built 40's in the mix.
