Default Short "phone" cord for Yaesu radio?

My faux-lux uses the separation kit for my FT-8800r, but the 40 doesn't. Apparently I can't find that little 2" cord that goes between the face and the radio now, and I'd like to get the HAM working in the 40 if possible.

Anyone installed a Yaesu radio with the separation kit and don't need your short cable?

Dan

That cable is not fancy, just a plain old RJ-12. This is a 6-pin cable that's a straight through (no-crossover) version of the RJ-11.

I looked for mine Dan since I doubt I'll ever need it but mine is missing too - I probably tossed it with the box after install. Sounds like Dave pointed you in the right direction on making your own though

I'll look if you're not in a hurry.

Not a huge hurry. Hoping to find one by (or during) the rally.

Yeah, I know, but I don't own a crimper for such things. (pretty sure they take a special crimper, right?) Especially since I have one, but can't find it. Hopefully I don't have to resort to having one made just because I misplaced it.

I checked my boxes and I do not have one. Sorry, I thought I might have one with the ft350

Quick bump if anyone going to the Rally has one lying around they'd be willing to part with. Really don't want to be CB only on the 40's only run.

Dan,

Look for me at the Rally tomorrow as I think I have what you seek - most likely after 11ish - I'll probably be up near the check in area most of the time I'm there

Dang, I wish I would have seen this before today. Could have saved a bit of parking lot finagling to get Martin's new/used 2800 into the truck.

Either way, turns out that for less than a buck Yaesu will sell you a new one.
