Default A formal invitation to come check out Colorado's latest 4wheeling forum...

We have changed our forum name from Outkasts4x4.com to ColoradoTrailRats.org...details in a new post below!

Hello,

I've met and wheeled with some of you, and I'm sure I'll see plenty more of you on the trail.

I recently started a new Colorado based 4wheeling forum called, and wanted to formally invite Rising Sun members to check it out and maybe think about joining up.The website is www.outkasts4x4.com . It is a no drama, no bs, site where people can get together to go wheeling, work on their rigs, and generally hang out and feel like they have an online home.

Its VERY new (less then a week old), and I'm mostly just wanting to start getting the forums populated with posts and to get some new members (we only have 20 so far). It is a non pay site, no vendors or ads, and is designed to have a very open and transparent moderation style. We are also non brand specific, so anyone and everyone is welcome to join up regardless of build level or what your vehicle is. I am a Toyota guy, and felt like posting on Rising Sun would maybe get some fellow Toyota people on the site as well. Hulk was nice enough to give me permission to make an invite thread.

Thanks and we can't wait to see you,

just a tip. cut down on all of the categories until you need them. start small, then expand.

Thanks for the tip. The main challenge is making the call between what our current members want compared to whats good. I've been planning on paring it down a bit till we get some more members, mostly in the mechanics area.

Thanks a bunch,

Josh

Hey guys,

So after some reflection on the name, we decided that it had too many negative connotations and we needed something more welcoming but still indicative of the attitude of the forum (fun and adventurous). Outkast really doesn't portray a responsible person that just wants some friends to go wheeling with and to talk about whatever, so we decided on a change.

We settled on Colorado Trail Rats, and decided to go with a .org domain to further re-enforce that we are just a group of people and not out to make a buck on this. I encourage anyone to come have a look, invite your friends to join you, and see if its a good fit and if the changes work for you better.

New Name, New Look, but the same set of awesome people. We'd love to have you guys come join us.

I think I fixed it. Its having issues with redirects and making sure I intercept them correctly. I think it should be good now.
