Default 1975 FJ40 build / rustoration

As some and maybe many of you know, I have been working on my 1975 for about a year now on and off between this and my 1970 trail rig. I still have some mechanical issues to work out but cosmetically she is in pretty nice shape, I have tried to keep her as original as possible within limits. She is by no means a concourse restoration, I just wanted to give her a new lease on life, removing all the rust I could find and putting on a fresh coat of paint (single stage urethane PPG Shop Line). I was VERY pleased with how the top turned out, I pulled it removed the gutter and re-riveted, sealed and painted it, it will not leak. New interior SOR and headliner, new dash pad. I left the 5" speaker holes in the rear that the PO had cut and installed some new Sony's in them, the stock radio does not work right now, I have installed a newer radio in the pocket for now. Anyhow, here are a few pics..

Brian, that looks much better than I remember! You must have been putting a lot of work into it! It looks great! Did you fix the door with what you had or did you buy replacement panels etc.?

Thanks guys!! I have really enjoyed this build. After I rebuilt the hinges, painted and resealed the doors with new weather striping I could not believe how solid they shut and how much quieter it was ( the new headliner helped also).

Wes, what is the TBP?

Matt, I did replace the door, I found one in Vegas, the guy boxed it up and shipped it to me for $95.00, it had been tweaked a bit but was really easy to fix. I repaired the rest of the panels, cutting out rust and welding new material here is a link if you are interested with lots of pics, there is also an album for the Sill Plate replacement, it is really stout..
