Spyderco rescue or XD40
Last I knew Spyderco had an outlet store. They're owned by a local family, check them out.

I like fixed blades. I don't carry every day, but always in my pack on the trail. My current favorite is a Finnish Puukko by Woodsknife, flat grind and 3" carbon steel blade:

name me another tool that can prep your dinner, fix wiring, sew leather and or tarps, open cans and file your nails.

Another vote for spyderco. I have several of thier knives, a sog, and a couple CRKT knives. I always find myself carrying the Spyderco knives.

http://spyderco.com/

The main factory is in Golden and they do have a factory store opened Mon thru Sat. Some of their knives are made in Golden others are made overseas. Be sure to ask.

multi tools don't count. I have leathermans, gerbers, mini's etc. I probably have half a dozen swiss army knives. Martin, i even have a Norwegian blade similar to that. I need to find it. It's a handy little guy.

I was looking along the lines of the spyderco's... That benchmade is intriguing. Precisely the reason for the thread.

I gotta be able to fend off the legion of computer geeks with my clip knife or look the part so I don't get ganked at work.
